The RF70 is a 125 KHz long read range high security, digitally encrypted, proximity card reader. The card reader has dual reading technology of both 125 KHz passive card for normal person access and 125 KHz active card with longer reading range, providing easier access for handicapped people. It has a read range of up to 18 inches with passive cards (IDC170, IDC80) and up to 5-7 feet with active cards and tags (IDA150, IDA200).

The RF70 has a high impact and scratch resistant polycarbonate housing and can be used successfully even in harsh environments. Various OEM proprietary formats are available. The RF70 supports Wiegand as well as RS232 & ABA Track II magstripe Formats. The RF70 is vandal resistant and 100% weatherproof. It is recommended to use with MB-1 Mounting Bracket.
